The Hollister Police Department (HPD) issued a Jan. 16 advisory asking the public for help with a shooting investigation.
The advisory states that on Sunday, Jan. 13 around 10:04 p.m., officers received a call of gunshots being heard in the area of 80 Gonzalez Drive. As officers were responding, dispatch informed them that multiple gunshots had been fired at and around the area of 80 Gonzalez Drive.
Officers arrived and met with a female who was in the area when the shooting occurred, the advisory states. Officers searched the crime scene and did not find anyone who had been hit by the gunfire.
According to the HPD advisory, officers found during the investigation that shots had been fired into the residence and two vehicles parked in front of it. There was further evidence of the shooting found in the area, the release states, and video surveillance captured a silver-colored sedan speeding away from the area.
Investigators are following all leads and are asking for help from the community for tips or information that can lead to the arrest and conviction of those involved in the incident.
