Hollister, California December 7, 2012 –
Police have contacted the suspect who allegedly has been calling the San Benito HIgh School for several days and leaving threatening phone calls and bomb threats. The caller was located out of state and the investigation is still ongoing.
Hollister Police Department along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation has identifed the individual.
Authorities in the state of Michigan have located the individual and interviewed him. The suspect has provided a statement but his identity will not be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation. The suspect is cooperating with police and students at the school were never in danger of an explosive device.
The Hollister Police Department would like to thank the Federal Bureau of Investigation for their assistance in the ongoing investigation, as well as the San Benito County Sheriff's office and San Benito HIgh School staff.
The department expects to release more information on this investigation and the circumstances surrounding the case sometime next week.
