Police Seek Information on Car Crash Fatality

A 53 year-old Hollister Woman died in a car accident on Sunday.

A 53-year-old Hollister woman was killed Sunday, Oct. 15 at approximately 9:25 a.m., according to a California Highway Patrol news release. 

The report stated that the woman driver, whose name has not been released at this time, was driving a 2015 black Honda Pilot northbound on Fairview Rd. For unknown reasons, the driver made a right turn, leaving the roadway just south of Rosa Morada Rd, causing her car to strike a tree. The rate of speed of her vehicle has not been identified. She was treated at the scene by medical personnel and later transported by ambulance to Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced deceased.    

The crash is still under investigation. Drug or alcohol intoxication is not suspected at this time.
