On Feb. 26, at approximately 7:50 a.m. Hollister Police officers responded to Georges Grill, 480 Tres Pinos Rd., after an employee arrived at work and noticed a shattered glass door. It appeared someone had broken the glass door and entered the business taking an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register.
While investigating the burglary, police say they located a cash register in a dumpster in the parking lot behind the restaurant. However, the cash register did not belong to Georges Grill.
According to an HPD press release, at about 8:10 a.m., officers responded to Hollister Pure Water, 191 San Felipe Rd., Suite D, after a passerby noticed the glass front door had been broken. Similarly, someone had broken the glass front door to the business and took an undisclosed amount of jewelry from a display case, money, and a cash register that was later recovered from the earlier investigation.
A video surveillance system captured part of the crime and the suspect vehicle. Two males are seen in the video committing the burglary and a female, “lookout” was also captured on video, police said. The suspect vehicle is a white, two-door 1990s model that is possibly a Nissan pickup truck with a white camper. It appears the truck has a ball hitch to pull a trailer on the rear bumper near the license plate. On the sides of the truck is a teal design along the length of the vehicle.
This is an ongoing investigation and police officers are still speaking to witnesses and anyone in the area that may have seen the suspect vehicle or suspects.
