Rain has reached San Benito County, but could lighten up as the week continues.
According to the National Weather Service, heavy rainfall is expected to continue across portions of California including the Central Coast. Snow is expected in mountainous regions.
Showers are expected locally throughout Wednesday, March 6 with the possibility of a thunderstorm. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent, with a high near 62° and a southeast wind of 15 to 22 miles per hour (mph) expected in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.
Chance of showers is expected to drop to 40 percent by Thursday, March 7Â and 20 percent by Friday, March 8. The National Weather Service anticipates it being partly sunny on Saturday, March 9, though a slight chance of showers could bring rain back to the region through Sunday, March 10.
Clear skies are anticipated on Monday, March 11.
