Redeemed Team aims to reach local youth

Group of Christians from throughout San Benito County wants to bring positive activities to the community

The Redeemed Team is a group of Christians from various churches in the community who have been meeting on a weekly basis since 2005 to fellowship and study God’s word together. We also have a heart for youth in our community where they can feel welcomed, safe and most of all, loved unconditionally.

Meet the team

  • Darin Delcurto is the founder of the Redeemed Team. A single dad of 3 teens who had the vision and concept for the Redeemed Team. His dream is to provide todays youth with positive activities where they can experience unconditional love.
  • Andi Anderson, a single teen mom, avid community volunteer and former Youth Leader, has the desire to see youth from a difficult upbringing learn that they don't have to remain "stuck" or become a "statistic" but that there are opportunities available to them to prosper.
  • Danita Brigantino suffered the tragic loss of her husband when she was pregnant with her 4th child. She raised 4 daughters as a single mom. Always active in school activities her generous heart has touched the lives of many youth in Hollister throughout the years
  • Patty Bove-Stewart is a former military nurse, who now works at Hollister Pregnancy Center and has a pulse of the youth in our community. Her passion shows through in the workshops and abstinence trainings at schools, church youth groups and juvenile hall.
  • Carol Thomas, a single mom with a passion for youth, has been in youth ministry for over 20 years. She has traveled  to churches throughout the Western United States with a team teaching young adults to use their God-given talents of drama, dance, music and more!

Together we have over 25 years of experience working with youth.

VISION: To see the youth in San Benito County come to Christ.

MISSION: While sharing the gospel message, adult mentors will partner with youth sponsored events that encourage Christian core values.

In the past, The  Redeemed Team has sponsored two events at San Benito High School: in April 2013 and May 2015 – "The Silver Ring Thing," which promotes the message of purity and waiting until marriage centered in a relationship with Jesus Christ through two methods: a live event and a small group resource called BareEssentials. Since 1995, SRT has hosted more than 1,100 events, reaching more than 635,000 people. Both events were free to all.

On Saturday, July 25 at the Veteran’s Memorial Building at 649 San Benito St., Hollister, the Redeemed Team will present Capital Kings, a music duo from Tennessee, in concert. Capital Kings's music includes electronic dance music, pop rock, hip hop, and rap. They recently toured with Toby Mac and Mandisa.

The concert will kick off with up-and-coming local artist Aaron Magill (www.songcloud.com/aaronmagill) at 6:15 p.m.

This is a free event, sponsored by the Redeemed Team. VIP tckets are available for $20 each and include early entry, special seating, a meal, drink and a raffle ticket.

In addition to fun activities and food, there will be raffle prizes, including Hubsan x4 Mini Quadcopter Drones, Skullcandy Hesh wireless headphones, and Beats by Dr. Dre wireless speakers.

If you would like to volunteer at the event, or are able to donate to make future events possible, please visit our website at: www.redeemedteam.org.
