Recently, a portion of the hillside above Southside Road (at Blossom Lane) has started to slide down the road. As of May 30, it encroached approximately two feet onto the road.

In interest of public safety, San Benito County is closing this portion of Southside Road to traffic until further notice.

The Resource Management Agency is working with technical experts in order to assess road conditions.
