On Monday, a local Irish dance group celebrated Saint Patrick’s Day with performances for San Benito county organizations. The dancers, who practice and compete throughout the year are part of the Barnes Academy of Irish Dancing, under the direction of local resident, Allison Barnes,TCRG.
Performances for Saint Patrick’s Day included solo and group dance showcases at the Hollister Lions Club and the Hollister Rotary Club and were received with enthusiastic applause by spectators. While the traditional Irish dancers perform at both public events and private parties throughout the year, Saint Patrick’s Day performances are always amongst their favorite.
