The San Benito County Arts Council is proud to announce the 9th Annual Art of Eating: A Benefit Dinner for the Arts, taking place on Saturday, July 18th from 5-10p.m. at the scenic Paicines Ranch. This year’s event marks a special milestone, the 20th anniversary of the Arts Council, celebrating two decades of enriching the community through arts programs, advocacy and cultural initiatives. We’re going all out with a formal anniversary Gala that you won’t want to miss.
“This milestone event is not only a celebration of our past 20 years, but a commitment to the future of the arts in our community,” said Jennifer Laine, Executive Director of the San Benito County Arts Council. “We are looking forward to bringing people together for an evening that reflects the creativity, passion and resilience of our local arts community.”
We’ve been busy growing our youth arts programs, beautifying public spaces and uplifting local artists and arts organizations. We’ve also been busy sharing our voices regionally and statewide to bring much-needed arts resources right back here to San Benito County. We’ll be sharing stories of the people, places and programs that have contributed to our impact all year long.
“The youth being exposed to the arts is so tremendously important… It gives you an incentive to move forward. It opens their eyes to a global idea of being creative. That yes, you can do it. You have it within yourself. That’s one of the things that I see the Arts Council is still doing.” said Cesar E. Flores one of the original Arts Council Founders.
