Edible Monterey Bay, a local food and wine magazine, invites food enthusiasts to a launch party for its 2014 winter issue at San Benito Bene in Hollister Downtown next Thursday, Dec. 18, from 5 to 8 p.m.
Come meet the magazine’s team of visionary publishers, writers, editors and photographers at the locally inspired gift shop located at 615-B San Benito Street. San Benito Bene features many fine artisanal products, including award-winning olive oils, gourmet chocolates, spices and luxurious bath and body products, that will be available for sampling.
Edible Monterey Bay celebrates the local food cultures of Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito County. It publishes quarterly issues that highlight current foodie happenings and the talented farmers, fishermen, food artisans, chefs and other food and drink producers and purveyors behind them. Recent San Benito County articles featured Your Family Farm, Heirloom Organics, Pinnacle Organics, Morris Grassfed Beef, Coke Farm, San Benito Bene, DeBrito Chocolate Factory, Marich Confectionery, Paicines Ranch, Vertigo Coffee, Hain Ranch Organics, Pasture Chick Ranch, B & R Farms, The Fault Line, Earthbound, Catalan Family Farm, various world-class wineries and olive growers and many other local businesses.
Along with receiving free copies of Edible Monterey Bay, guests can taste complimentary small bites made by The Best of Times Café, San Benito Bene’s next-door neighbor. Wine tasting will be available, which benefits the San Benito Olive Festival. Guests will also have the chance to check out mouth-watering recipes for cooking fresh local food for the holidays, shop for holiday gifts with local flair and enjoy the wonderful stories of our area artisans.
Admission is free. Edible Monterey Bay will hold a raffle for guests who RSVP online at Eventbrite.com. Prizes will include items from San Benito Bene.
