“It is a chance for local businesses to showcase what they do and how they support our local job market and economy”, says Juli Vieira CEO of the San Benito County Chamber about the upcoming job and business expo. The deadline for businesses signing up for the expo is Wednesday, April 4.

Vieira explained in a news release that this year the chamber decided to open up the expo to not only those businesses that were hiring but to those who provide jobs, contribute to the local economy, those just starting out and those who have been in business for generations. “It gives the community a chance to get out and learn about our community, talk to business owners and interact with each other,” Vieira wrote

The Chamber will incorporate the art community by having music, dance and artists participate. San Benito Dance Academy will be preforming at 5:00.

Nine local non-profits that went into the Chamber-run drawing and Chamber members Hazel Hawkins Hospital Auxiliary, Kinship Center, American Legion Post 69, and Rebekah Children’s Services won free booths.

The chamber would like to thank corporate sponsor Infinity Staffing for their continued support. Businesses that have signed up so far include City of Hollister, Marich Confectionery, Julia’s Divine Gems, UNFI, Edward Jones-Alexis Winder, Blueline Power, Wells Fargo Mortgage, Kelly Services, CareMore, and Manpower.

America’s Job Center will also be on hand to assist those who might need a resume “refresh”.

For those who have job opportunities or want to showcase their business or non-profit, booth space is available. Contact the Chamber office at 831-637-5315 for information and an application for a booth and/or sponsorship opportunities.
