San Benito County Fair Kicks Off This Weekend

The Annual fair at Bolado Park runs Thursday through Sunday this week.

The San Benito County Fair is set to kick off this Thursday at the Bolado Park Event Center with a live performance by the Brodie Stewart Band. The annual fair, which will run all weekend until Sunday, Oct. 1, will feature an array of live performances, local foods, and exhibits.  

Tickets can be purchased at the door or online. General daily admission to the fair is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors (60 and over), $5 for children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. Parking costs $5. 

Advance Purchase Family Fun Pack and Discounted Carnival Ride Wrist Bands are available for purchase at the Fair Office, Ace Hardware, Chamber of Commerce, Postal Graphics & Ranchers Feed. Pre-sale tickets will only be available until Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016. 

On Thursday, Kid's Day, children 12 and under get in free all day. On Friday, Seniors Day, those age 60 and over receive $1 off admission. Saturday, Military Appreciation Day, free admission is offered to those with military I.D. Sunday is Community Cultural Day. 

The county express will be providing a free shuttle service to and from the fair, Friday Sept. 29 to Sunday Oct. 1.

Freestyle Motocross, Quad wars and Diesel Truck pulls – 7:00 p.m.

Mr. O’s Jazz band is plays from 2 to 2:45.   

Truck and Tractor Super Pull – 6:00 p.m.   

The Blackouts perform – 7:30 p.m.
