The San Benito County Free Library proudly invites you to our first annual Dia de los Niños (Day of the Child) program on Tuesday, April 30 at the library.

Dia (as it is nicknamed), is a day honoring children, diversity and literacy. Founded by children’s book author Pat Mora, it is celebrated throughout the country and worldwide. This program is made possible by a grant from the State Library.

The San Benito County Free Library will be celebrating children, local culture and reading throughout the day with music, dancing, giveaways, and more! Enjoy traditional Mexican folk dancing with Hollister’s Folklorico Juvenil, led by Lucy Rodriquez at 4 p.m., as well as authentic Mariachi music played by local children musicians as Mini Mariachi at 4:30 p.m. Children of all ages and families are welcome. Bring your friends, family and join the fun!

If you have any questions please call the library at (831) 636-4107. The library is located at 470 Fifth Street in Hollister. Special thanks to the State Library and Lucy Rodriquez for making this event possible. Thank you to the Friends of the Library as well for their ongoing support.
