San Benito GIVES is a charity fundraiser for community organizations, with a range of missions, raising funds to help make our community stronger. Through this effort, the Friends of the Library will match donations up to $5,000.

The Friends of the San Benito County Free Library is a group whose goal is to help our library create a literate and informed community. The Friends are volunteers who advocate for the library, organize fundraisers and write grants to supplement the purchase of children’s and adult books in several languages, magazines, movies, digital resources, bookmobile supplies and sponsor children’s programs and other library events.

The members of the Friends’ board welcome the community’s participation as donors, volunteers, and advisers. Visit our website,  email us at sbcfriends.org@gmail.com or call us at 831-205-1373.

We have raised $5,000 in matching funds. Help us ensure our library continues to be a place to ger help with homework, stretch a budget by borrowing CDs and books, and learn to read better or look for work.

San Benito GIVES is a 24-hour, team fundraising event providing an opportunity to support 23 nonprofit organizations in San Benito County. The event is hosted by the Community Foundation in partnership with BenitoLink and Mission Village Voice.

Please join us on this day of giving and support the organizations that are participating. More information is available at razoo.com/team/Sanbenitogives.
