San Benito High School held a Patriot's Day ceremony at lunch to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. Associated Student Body students interviewed campus staff members to collect their remembrances of that day, and created a video (see link below).

Teachers had the option of showing the 12-minute video to students toward the end of their second block classes on Friday. In the quad at the center of main campus, the school scheduled a presentation and moment of silence at 1 p.m. The school choir was scheduled to lead the student body in a rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner" during the lunchtime activity.

There was also a special memorial in memory of Capt. Jason M. Dahl, the pilot of Flight 93 and the brother of  SBHS district employee Carol Heiderich.
