Plan on a fun-filled olive date on Saturday, Oct. 14, at Brigantino Park, 2037 San Juan Road, in Hollister. Foodies, wine and beer enthusiasts, singles, couples and families will all get into the spirit of celebrating the local harvest, culinary delights, artisans and community at the fourth annual San Benito Olive Festival.

Local growers and creators will be welcoming culinary adventurers from up and down California. A special VIP tasting area will feature regional world-class wines and craft beers. Celebrity chefs will entertain guests as they perform cooking demonstrations. Award-winning olive oils, artisanal foods and gourmet chocolates will be available to sample and purchase. Festival goers will also have a chance to paint olive masterpieces, create olive wreaths, paint pumpkins, build scarecrows and make flower bouquets, along with enjoying live music and a wonderful variety of hand-crafted products.

The gourmet celebration is a one-day culinary festival, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Early bird discounted tickets are now available in Hollister at Postal Graphics, 1760 Airline Highway, and San Benito Bene, 615 B San Benito St., as well as online at Eventbrite–San Benito Olive Festival. For more information, call 831-537-7270, email [email protected] or visit the San Benito Olive Festival website or its Facebook page.
