San Benito Stage Company, the local community theater organization, will be ending its run at the Granada Theater on Saturday, Jan. 12. The organization will hosting its last event there, its annual Awards Show.

"Our lease at the Granada is up, so we wanted to host our Members Choice Show as a way to celebrate our last season with our members, actors, and community members," said San Benito Stage Company board member Derek Barnes.

The free event is expected to start with light desserts at 6:30 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. The show will celebrate the best of 2018, discuss the line up for 2019 and discuss San Benito Stage Company's new marketing approach.

The local theater group has a plan in place for 2019 and beyond to keep the organization going, Barnes said. "We have secured a number of venues in Hollister to help us continue putting on quality shows and events."
