San Benito Stage Company's production of "Damn Yankees" opens Friday, Oct. 28 and runs through Nov. 6 at the Granada Theatre, 336 Fifth St. in Hollister.

"Damn Yankees" is a musical comedy that is a modern retelling of the Faust legend set during the 1950s in Washington, D.C., during a time when the New York Yankees dominated Major League Baseball. It is based on Douglass Wallop's novel The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant.

Performances are scheduled for Oct. 28, 29, and Nov. 4, 5, 11 and 12, all at 7 p.m. Sunday matinees will be held Oct. 30 and Nov, 6 at 2 p.m.
