The City of San Juan Bautista Strategic Plan Committee will meet on Tuesday, June 9 to report on the progress of various subcommittees related to community issues. The following week, a public hearing on the city’s General Plan is scheduled.

The 6:30 p.m. strategic plan meeting will be held at City Hall, 311 Second St. After a public comment period for items not on the agenda, the committee reports include the following:

  • Arts, Culture, Recreation and Wellness Subcommittee: Topics to include historic preservation and community design element, health element and open space element
  • Government and Communications Subcommittee: Public facilities and services element, public safety element, noise element
  • Agriculture, Environment and Land Use Subcommittee: Land use element, circulation element, housing element and conservation element
  • Historic San Juan Bautista Subcommittee: Review of Historic San Juan Bautista Plan to insure inclusion in the city’s Strategic Plan
  • Business, Development, Tourism Subcommittee: Economic development element
  • Youth Subcommittee
  • Mission Statement Subcommittee

The Strategic Plan Committee will also consider recommendations of new members to appoint to the committee and will discuss potential future agenda items.

Public hearing on draft EIR of General Plan

The City of San Juan Bautista will host a public hearing to present the finding of the draft environmental impact report (EIR) for the 2035 General Plan on Tuesday, June 17 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the San Juan Bautista Community Center, 10 San Jose St.

Draft documents of the draft EIR are available online by clicking here.
