Santa Visited San Benito County Free Library

Santa Visited Hollister Free Library during celebration of the Holidays

On Thursday, December 19th, 2013, more than 200 children and their families visited with Santa Claus on his recent visit to the San Benito County Free Library in Hollister.  Fun activities put on by librarian Nora and her staff of "elves" (many volunteers and employees) to celebrate the occasion included making holiday decorations and taking pictures with Santa.  After children told him what they wanted for Christmas, they received a gift from the Friends of the Library: a children's book of their own.

Parents who would like a copy of the photos files taken by BenitoLink photographer, Heatherly Takeuchi, may contact librarian Nora starting December 30th.  Please bring a USB thumb drive to hold the JPG file(s).  These files may then be taken home or to a digital photo service (e.g. Target or Walgreens) to have prints made.

I work as a Mathematics and Science tutor, and as an Event Coordinator for the Discovery Classic bicycle event. Like most people, I wear multiple hats; my other chapeaus include photographer, graphic designer, writer, and book editor. Then when I'm not working, I volunteer on Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue team as a communications specialist. I also run a group that trains and licenses amateur radio operators.
