The San Benito County Sheriff's Office is looking to fill two to three positions, according to Capt. Tony Lamonica. Applicants must be at least 20-and-a-half years old and have earned a high school diploma or GED.
In a media release, Lamonica called the department a "full-service law enforcement agency, providing patrol, criminal investigation, search and rescue, civil process, and court security."
The department is hiring deputy sheriff's trainees to enter the police academy starting in late April. The salary range for a deputy sheriff trainee is $51,824.03 – $66,157.31 annually, according to the county website.
"We are looking for qualified men and women to join the Sheriff's Office for an exciting career with great benefits," Lamonica's announcement said.
