On Monday, July 14 at about 10:15 p.m., Hollister Police officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 900 Blk. of Prospect Ave. and later were involved in a foot chase with suspects.
Officers found a male, suffering from a gunshot wound and called for immediate medical aid for the victim. The victim received medical treatment on-scene by Hollister Fire Department and AMR. The victim was later flown to a Bay Area hospital for medical attention. His medical status is unknown at this time.
While officers were administering initial aid to the victim; a foot chase ensued with possible suspects south from the crime scene toward Rancho San Justo School. Residents in the immediate area were called via reverse 9-1-1 and asked to shelter in place and lock their doors. A full search of the area was made by officers on the ground, including a Sheriff’s K-9 and a CHP helicopter. No suspects were located after the search. A second reverse 9-1-1 call was made to the residents after the perimeter check was concluded.
Police are actively seeking two suspects: Suspect No. 1 is described as a Hispanic male juvenile, approximately 5’7" with a medium build wearing a dark gray hoodie, baseball cap, dark pants and white sneakers. Suspect No. 2 is described as a Hispanic male juvenile, approximately 5’7”, thin build, wearing a white tank top and dark pants.
