The annual San Juan Bautista Rib Cook-Off packed the streets of the historic downtown Saturday and Sunday, showcasing the cooking skills of pit masters.

Guests at the admission-free event browsed booths that featured arts and crafts and live music along Third Street, the main thoroughfare of the Mission City, as well as on side streets. Guests could cast votes for the Peoples' Choice Award after sampling ribs and San Juan Merchants made the most of the foot traffic by offering event specials throughout the weekend.
