The Housing Element is a required component of the City’s General Plan that identifies strategies to meet existing and future housing needs in compliance with State law. It includes policies and programs to address housing production, affordability, preservation, and fair housing. As part of this process, the City has also prepared an Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) Analysis, which assesses barriers to housing access and outlines goals to address housing equity.

Following adoption of the 6th Cycle Housing Element. The City will submit the Draft Housing Element and Fair Housing Analysis to HCD for certification.
