Panoche Valley Sollar, LLC, will provide an update on its solar farm project and celebrate the opening of its new Hollister office on Thursday, Feb. 5 from 5:30-7 p.m. at The Vault, 452 San Benito St. in downtown Hollister.
The company, which is planning to build a 247-megawatt solar farm in the Panoche area of southern San Benito County, has submitted to the county a revised environtmental impact report on which the public can comment through Feb. 10. The Board of Supervisors in 2010 approved an initial EIR for the project, which was proposed by Solargen Energy. in a flyer promoting the open house, Panoche Valley Solar said it will host events to meet with local businesses and discuss training opportunities "within the next few weeks."
