Over 50 California and out of state colleges to attend!

South County Cal-SOAP (SCCC) invites students of all ages and their parents to its 13th annual college fairs, to be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26 at the San Benito High School's Mattson Gym and Thursday, Nov. 2 at the Gilroy High School Student Center.

“This is one of the ways Cal-SOAP can reach all students and parents in the four different districts that participate in the SCCC Consortium. SCCC welcomes students and parents from all over the South County region, and especially families from the Aromas-San Juan, Gilroy, Hollister and Morgan Hill School Districts for this exciting event! The college fairs are scheduled between 5 pm and 7 pm in order to accommodate parents’ working schedules…your entire family is welcome!” stated Erin C. Gemar, Project Director for the SCCC Consortium. “We sincerely appreciate the continued support from our local school districts and from our higher education partners, Gavilan Community College, CSU Monterey Bay, UC Santa Cruz, Stanford University and the Silicon Valley Education Foundation. The recent success of Cal-SOAP graduates and their college-going rate is a direct reflection of their support."

Special thanks to our additional partners who have directly contributed to SCCC:  Women’s Fund of San Benito County, The Bress Family Grant, Gilroy Rotary Club, Latino Family Fund, MG Constructors & Engineers, Inc., and Scholarshare.

No reservations are required and both events are open to all community members! Opportunity to win door prizes will be available to all students in attendance, upon receipt of their evaluation of the event.

To ask questions or to contribute door prize donations, please contact the SCCC Office at (408) 846-7504.
