These services will cost only $50.00 per pet, the release states, and must be paid at the time the appointment is scheduled. The fee is nonrefundable. Once all appointments have been filled, additional applicants may be placed on a waiting list to be contacted in the event of any cancellations.
On Sunday, March 3 Hollister Police Animal Care & Services are expected to conduct a low cost spay and neuter day, and offer a limited number of low cost spay and neuters for City of Hollister residents. According to the press release, appointments need to be made in advance and are on a first come, first serve basis.
All appointments must be made in-person at the Hollister Animal Shelter and require proof of residency within the City of Hollister, the release states, and notes the department is working to expand the program to include San Benito County residents.
