According to its website, CPR has a mission to  “protect public health, improve environmental quality and support a sustainable and just agricultural system by building a diverse movement across California to change statewide and local pesticide policies and practices.” Among its stated goals are to “eliminate use of the worst pesticides–including those that cause cancer, reproductive harm or acute poisoning; reduce overall use of the remaining pesticides; promote the use of sustainable pest control solutions in our farms, communities, forests, homes and yards; (and) protect people’s right-to-know about pesticide use in our neighborhoods, counties and state.”
The Health Fair is put on by LULAC (the League of United Latin American Citizens) and many San Benito County professionals who will provide information and resources to community members who otherwise may not have access to them. Agencies, medical professionals and volunteers work together with the goal of positively impacting the needs of local residents.
