The following information was published on Hollister Police Department’s Facebook page. No formal news release has been provided to local media about this possible arrest. 

 

Hollister Police Department published the following information via Facebook at approximately 9:00A.M. on Sunday, August 14.

 

“Last night we were called to investigate the report of a gun brandishing on the southwest side of town. We did some follow-up and quickly determined who the suspect was, identified them, and found them sleeping at home,” the Hollister Police Department broadcast on its Facebook page.

The police department social media writer continued, “We ‘froze’ the house and applied for a search warrant, and found a stockpile of illegal weapons and magazines. Long story short, there’s one less vacancy in the jail this morning.”

 

By 2:15 P.M. Sunday, no additional information had been provided through traditional media channels.

 

“We aren’t sure what the plan was in the long run, but we are sure everyone is safer with these guns off the street – especially given the suspect’s decision making matrix.

“It was a busy night, and that wasn’t the only excitement. More on that later in the week ,” the Facebook posting said.
