The Hollister Downtown Association (HDA) announced the winners of the 30th Annual Street Festival, Car Show and Chili Cook Off held on Saturday, July 16.

The Best of Show winner was a red 1974 De Tomaso Pantera GTS owned by Bruce Himebauch of  San Juan Bautista. This vehicle will be featured on next year’s event T-shirt, poster and flyers.

  • Best Antique: 1929 Ford Model A owned by John Reed of Hollister.
  • Best Pick-Up: 1930 Ford Model A owned by Arnold Togliatti of Gilroy. 
  • Best Vintage: 1936 Ford Phaeton owned by Joel Bridgeman of San Jose.
  • Best Custom-Modified: 1932 Ford Sedan owned by JoAnn and Ron Berti of Pacific Grove. 
  • Best Classic: 1963 Ford Ranchero owned by Arthur Anderton of Paso Robles.
  • Best Modern: 2013 Dodge Challenger RT owned by Pat Merg of Hollister.
  • Best Muscle: 1965 Buick Skylark GS owned by Tom Westrup of Hollister. 
  • Best Corvette (Mike Cunningham Memorial): 1963 Corvette Stingray, owned by Mary and Leonard Pellissier of Hollister.
  • Best Low-Rider: 1961 Chevy Impala owned by Ki and Olga Hansen of Hollister.
  • Best Mustang (John Marfia, Jr. Memorial): 1965 Ford Mustang owned by Lani Antonio of Hollister.
  • Best Paint: 1948 Chevrolet 2 Dr. Coupe owned Leona and Peter Burge of Gilroy. 
  • Longest Distance Traveled: 1941 Plymouth Coupe owned by Tony Lucero, Jr. of Sparks, NV. 
  • People’s Choice: 1923 Ford T Bucket Roadster owned by Phil Pospishek of Hollister.

The Car Club with the most participation was Impalas Central Coast with members from Gilroy and Hollister.
