On July 12, Sun Street Centers received a renewed, three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF International). This is the third time Sun Street Centers has received this accreditation in the past 10 years.
“I am so proud of this accreditation because the focus is on our clients and their satisfaction,” Sun Street Centers CEO Anna Foglia said in a recent press release.
The release said that the accreditation process applies best practice standards to service areas and business practices during an on-site survey. Accreditation is an ongoing process, signaling to the public that a service provider is committed to continuously improving services, encouraging feedback, and serving the community. Accreditation also demonstrates a provider’s commitment to enhance its performance, manage its risk and distinguish its service delivery.
“It is evident that Sun Street Centers provides excellent substance use disorder treatment and is dedicated to ongoing quality improvement,” said Thomas Williams, administrative auditor for CARF International.
Sun Street Centers serves over 10,000 people a year in alcohol and drug prevention, treatment and recovery services, the release said. The nonprofit is headquartered in Salinas, with facilities in King City, Seaside, Marina, Hollister, and Soledad.
