Valerie Smith has joined Sun Street Centers’ Board of Directors to represent the interests of the people of San Benito County. Smith, a broker/associate for Intero Real Estate Services, lives in Tres Pinos and said she cares about supporting positive community activities for families.
Smith gravitated to the message of prevention and recovery, especially about how Sun Street Centers helps young people make good decisions and helps families reunite after struggling with alcoholism or addiction. She is working with CEO, Anna Foglia, to plan a fundraising event to support the women and children’s sober living and recovery house on Sixth Street in Hollister.
The event, which will take place March 16, will feature lots of goodies from the south, such as fried chicken and waffles and peach pie; and there will be a bluegrass band for entertainment.
