Over 10,000 people, bundled up in jackets and gloves, braved the cold weather to kick off the holiday season and to watch Jaime the Elf "light up downtown" with the acts of kindness of local school children during the annual Lights On Celebration in downtown Hollister..
This year’s theme was “Silver Bells," in honor of the event's 25th anniversary, which was commemorated with new silver bells being added to the wreaths and garlands that decorate downtown.
Excited children and adults watched the 78 parade entries as they waited patiently for Santa and Mrs. Claus to arrive on the fire truck at the very end.
