San Benito High School Athletic Director Tod Thatcher was named the Central Coast Section Athletic Director of the Year by his peers.
Thatcher is the defensive coordinator for the varsity football team and oversees 23 sports programs, with two more — lacrosse and field hockey — slated to be added within the next year. The Baler athletic program was named Best Public School Athletic Program in the CCS by Prep2Prep Sports in 2013.
