Local residents from Trilogy San Juan Oaks came together May 6 to create dozens of thoughtful gift bags for nurses at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital in honor of National Nurses Day.
Residents from the 55+ community spent the day assembling the special gifts as a way to recognize and thank local nurses for their dedication, compassion, and service to the community.
Nicole Hartshorn, Lifestyle Director at Trilogy San Juan Oaks, said the activity was especially meaningful for residents.
“It was such a great activity for our citizens, and they truly enjoyed being able to make items for nurses who mean so much to them in the community,” said Nicole.
The gift bags were delivered to nurses at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital as a small token of appreciation during National Nurses Week, which celebrates the critical role nurses play in patient care and community health.
Trilogy San Juan Oaks residents said they were grateful for the opportunity to give back and show support for the nurses who work tirelessly every day to care for others.
