Second Update: 

Victim of possible hit and run is identified as 56 year old Hollister resident Kathy Haro. Police report states that they do not have a description of the vehicle(s) involved but believe the vehicle hit the victim and fled. The report mentions that there may have been more than one vehicle involved. 

According to a Hollister Police report, the incident happened at about 9:30 PM, when Hollister Police Officers responded to a vehicle vs pedestrian collision report. The incident was reported at Pinnacles National Park Hwy (Highway 25) & Meridian Street in Hollister. Hollister Fire Department and AMR ambulance responded as well.

The report stated,”Officers located the victim, down on the roadway just north of Meridian St. The victim was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter. It has been determined this was a hit & run collision. The investigation has revealed that at least one vehicle hit the victim and fled. As many as two more vehicles also may have struck the victim in the roadway after the initial collision.”

At the time of the report, police did not have a description of the suspect vehicle(s).

The report stated that other drivers stopped and attempted to help the victim. 

Hollister Police Department offered sincere condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
