On Tues., Dec. 23 at about 3 a.m., Hollister Police Department officers responded to a medical aid call with Hollister Fire Department for a non-responsive adult male in the 2000 Block of Scenic Circle.
Officers found Raul Delarosa, 28, of Hollister, outside of a residence on Scenic Circle. Emergency medical aid was immediately administered by the Hollister Fire Department and AMR, but the Delarosa was declared deceased after all lifesaving efforts were exhausted.
Detectives have identified what appears to be trauma to the area of the victim’s head. This incident is being investigated as a suspicious death and is being treated as a homicide pending further investigation and autopsy. Both the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office and San Benito County District Attorney’s Office have been notified.
