The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) advises motorists that construction will continue on the US 101/SR 25 Interchange Project in Gilroy during the week of Monday, July 13, through Friday, July 17, 2026.
Crews will perform daytime construction activities throughout the project area, including roadway grading, bridge construction, retaining wall construction, electrical work, and structural concrete operations.
What Drivers Can Expect
- Daytime construction activity within established work zones.
- Construction equipment and crews working adjacent to Highway 101 and State Route 25.
- Intermittent construction vehicle traffic entering and exiting the work site.
- Motorists should reduce speeds, remain alert, and follow all posted traffic control signs when traveling through the project area.
Traffic Impacts
No lane closures, highway closures, or on- or off-ramp closures are scheduled during the week of July 13–17, 2026. Motorists can expect normal traffic operations while construction activities continue within the existing work areas.
No Night Work Scheduled
No nighttime construction work is planned this week. All scheduled activities will occur during normal daytime construction hours.
