Vertigo Coffee in San Juan Bautista is hosting a free art show featuring local artists displaying and offering for sale original, unique and eclectic art works on Friday, April 22 from 4-8 p.m. The event is being called "The Pink Moon Pop-Up Art Show" and is being produced by Vertigo as a result of a growing interest by local artists who frequently congregate at the popular six-year-old coffeehouse, according to barista Jarae Tanner, who came up with the idea to showcase and sell locally-produced art.

Artists from San Benito County, Monterey County, Gilroy and Santa Cruz will be on hand to answer questions from the public. Vertigo Coffee manager, Ryan Morris, hired a DJ to help set the mood for the art show and is also offering a small variety of hand-crafted beers for sale on the premises as well as fresh brewed coffees, espressos and lattes.

The free art show is inspired, in part, by the fact that Friday will be a full moon coinciding with Earth Day; hence, the name Pink Moon Pop-Up Art Show.
