On Saturday, March 19, Forgiving Paws, Inc. will be present a ballistic vest for Hollister Police Department K-9 officer Freeze during the thrift shop's one-year anniversary celebration.
Forgiving Paws' celebration will take place at the thrift shop, located at 195 Meridian St. B-18 in Hollister. The public is invited to the 3 p.m. presentation to Freeze's handler, Officer David Anderson.
Forgiving Paws, Inc. has partnered with the Police & Working K9 Foundation to obtain the vest for Freeze. The foundation designed and coordinated the manufacture of these custom K9 level IIIA bullet- and stab-proof vests.
In a statement, the police department said it "would like to thank Forgiving Paws, Inc. and the Police & Working K9 Foundation for their generous donations to the Hollister community."
