March 29 is National Vietnam War Veterans Day, a day to pause and remember the more than 58,000 men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice. We also honor the 3.4 million military members who served in Vietnam or elsewhere in Southeast Asia in support of the U.S. military operations in Vietnam.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9242 will hold a remembrance ceremony on March 29 between 11 a.m. and noon in front of the Veterans Memorial Building, located at 649 San Benito St.

The ceremony will pay respects to those service members who never returned home with a wreath laying, the firing of the rifle volley, and the playing of Taps.

The VFW invites the community to come out and join us for the ceremony in front of the Veterans Memorial Building.
