Jim Ostdick’s walk across the United States to raise awareness and money to connect San Benito County to a national trail system has made its way to its third state — West Virginia —Â where the adventurer is resting and watching the NCAA basketball tournament before hitting the road again.
His journey is following the American Discovery Trail from the east coast to the west coast through October.
“I am resting in Keyser, West Virginia today at mile 350.8 for the trip,” Ostdick told BenitoLink. “Tomorrow (Saturday) I’ll start walking up and over the Allegheny Mountains. Supposed to snow the next few days so it should be interesting.”
