The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the San Francisco and Monterey Bay areas, including San Benito County, with a late-season storm expected to bring rain and strong, gusty winds to the area from Thursday evening and overnight.
Moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall at times, especially for the North Bay, Santa Cruz Mountains, Big Sur Coast and while the heaviest rain is expected north of San Francisco, half and inch to an inch-and-a-half could fall in the valleys.
Strong and gusty winds will accompany the storm system late Thursday night into Friday morning prompting high wind warnings and wind advisories. Rain and wind are expected to persist through Friday morning with showers again Friday night into Saturday. Dry conditions expected on Sunday with unsettled weather returning by the middle of the week.
