Next week, COG will be joining the Association of Monterey Bay Area Governments (AMBAG) at its second collaborative community workshop on Wednesday, July 17. The workshop will be an open house format starting at 6:00 p.m at the Veteran’s Memorial Building.
This workshop will explore five initial scenarios to accommodate future regional growth through the year 2035. These five initial scenarios are based on the online survey and feedback from community members and stakeholders during the first round of workshops in May. AMBAG is hosting additional workshops throughout the Monterey Bay region to receive feedback. This second round of workshops will also serve as scoping meetings for the Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) to receive public comment on what environmental impacts should be analyzed for the Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
As leaders in the community, we again ask that you post the attached flyer in your workplace and pass the information to your mailing lists and spheres of influence. To simplify this as much as possible, we have attached the flyer in Spanish and English. A press release and text for use in social media are also available upon request. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you in advance for your support, and we will look forward to seeing you all there. For more information, visit www.MovingForwardMB.org.
