The Women’s Club of Hollister recently awarded six scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are residents of San Benito County. The nonprofit organization annually supports the community through financial contributions to various charitable organizations in addition to supporting the Scholarship Awards Program. The awards, which the club has given for more than 30 years, are intended to recognize the graduating female seniors who have excelled academically and have been actively involved in both student and community service activities.
In the past, scholarships were awarded to graduates of San Benito and Anzar high schools. However, because many San Benito County students/residents attend schools outside the county, the scholarship committee elected to expand the award process to include those resident/students attending schools outside the county.
The Women’s Club is proud to announce the following as recipients of the scholarship awards for 2015.
