The San Benito Chamber of Commerce said its goal for Wreaths Across America was met, with multiple donors allowing all 274 veterans buried in the military sections of Calvary Cemetery plus some at the IOOF cemetery to have a wreaths placed at their gravesites on Saturday, Dec. 17.
"We had many groups helping on Saturday including 4-H clubs, Girl Scouts and families," said Chamber of Commerce CEO Juli Vieira. "I want to thank them all. We put out all 459 wreaths at both Calvary and IOOF in less than two hours."

Similar ceremonies took place throughout the country Saturday, with the local ceremony happening in the chapel at Calvary Cemetery located at 1100 Hillcrest Rd. Afterwards, volunteers moved outside to begin placing wreaths on gravesites in the two military sections.
