Diane Ortiz is the founding CEO of the Youth Alliance. Beginning in 1995, this grassroots all volunteer community based organization has expanded using creative and culturally rooted models to heal, transform, and create equitable pathways of opportunity for young people. While Diane is a dedicated advocate for racial and social justice, she believes that lasting community change is best accomplished when young people and their families have the power to lead social change. Diane has a Masters in Social Work from San Jose State University, is a fellow alum of the Stanford Graduate School Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders, and the Women’s Foundation of California Policy Institute, and currently participates in various state, county, and regional task forces and initiatives. She is a mother of two daughters and is proud to serve in the communities where her family has resided for many years.
