BenitoLink is for You

Community-supported BenitoLink continues to grow

Despite the distraction of the election, BenitoLink has received $7,000 in the first week of the “Pledge of Champions” fundraiser! BenitoLink will be doubling every donation up to $30,000, thanks to a $15,000 grant from the Community Foundation for San Benito County and an individual donation of another $15,000. With your support, we can go all the way and together reach the full $30,000 match.

Why help fund BenitoLink? We are a non-profit 501(c)(3), community supported news website. This week, when local and national elections are the center of attention, we will remind you about our highly successful and informative “Use Your Voice” election forums hosted with the San Benito County Farm Bureau and our media partners at CMAP-TV. Together, we provided to the public three well-attended evenings featuring local and regional candidates. And we got a lot of positive feedback for it.

BenitoLink has worked hard to help the community get to know the candidates and go to the ballot box with a good understanding of the measures. To better serve our readers, we brought in additional reporters and put in extra time to cover the important races in San Benito County.

Help us continue to give you the info you need.

During the Pledge of Champions, the BenitoLink team is reaching out to friends and neighbors, community and business leaders asking for their donation. We also reach out to you, our readers, making an online call for support. This can be a done by simply clicking the “DONATE HERE” button in the upper right corner of this page or sending a check to BenitoLink at 829 San Benito St., Suite 200 in Hollister, 95023.

Regardless of the amount, we will be proud to post your name (or not) on BenitoLink with our growing community of supporters.
