
World Breastfeeding Week was being celebrated, Friday, Aug. 5 at Hazel Hawkins Hospital.
The Big Latch On is a nationwide event supporting and spreading the word about the importance of breastfeeding for children's health.
This week, breastfeeding moms around the United States "latch" or feed their babies and statistics are taken. Jana Tomasini, the lactation consultant at Hazel Hawkins Hospital, headed-up the event this year. Organized activities were held on the second floor of Hazel Hawkins Hospital Women's Center.
