BenitoLink and the San Benito County Farm Bureau are once again hosting Election Forums. The first, for the June primary election, will be Thursday May 3 at 6:30p.m. The free forum will be held at Hollister City Council Chamber at 375 Fifth Street.
Community members are invited to send in questions for consideration. Please be sure to note which political race your questions refer to and send them via email to Leslie David – [email protected]
Candidates for the following races have been invited to participate in the forum:
- State Senate District 12
- State Assembly District 30
- Judge of Superior Court Number 2
- San Benito County Supervisor District 3
- San Benito County Supervisor District 4
- Sheriff- Coroner
- Treasurer-Tax Collector
- Measures A, B and C
These forums are being held as a service to San Benito County residents. BenitoLink's goal is to provide all candidates a fair and unbiased opportunity to share their ideas with the public.
No candidates will be given questions prior to the election forum.
The event is hosted by BenitoLink and the San Benito County Farm Bureau. Media partner CMAP-TV will be filming the event.
The forum is co-sponsored by the Community Foundation for San Benito County, Benito Valley Farms, and San Benito County Eye Care in Hollister. Thanks to these organizations, BenitoLink will provide thorough election coverage and will publish on BenitoLink video clips on each race, in order to help voters learn more about the candidates and measures.
